Professor of plant ecophysiology, researcher, educator, editor

I am currently leading the EU COST Action Network called PANGEOS, Pan-European Network of Green Deal Agriculture and Forestry Earth Observation Science.

High Throughput Plant Phenotyping
Developing optical and active UAV Remote Sensing methods for biophysical trait-based crop phenotyping approaches in order to improve crop breeding practices in Wheat, Maize, and Forestry as well as other crops internationally towards increased food security.

Precision Agroforestry
Developing software tools for improving the measurement and management of agriculture and forest natural resources using proximal, UAV and satellite based remote sensing technologies and novel processing algorithms for applications connecting processes between land, air pollution and climate change.
